This is a free event, but donations for SMART are welcome on the night
The focus for our 21st December kirtan in Chelsea is ‘the winter solstice’, where we will be immersing ourselves in the depth of winter on the shortest day and longest night. In this special and sacred time, we can renew the deep roots of our connection to the earth and connect with our core spiritual strength for the seasons ahead and contemplate what aspects of ourselves and our lives we are ready to release.
More about SMART:
In 1985 St Mary Abbots Rehabilitation and Training (SMART) was registered as a Charity to support people affected by mental illness on their path to recovery.
The founders recognised the importance of meaningful activity and training as a way to rebuild lives, giving people purpose, confidence and skills. As the Charity grew it also recognised the importance of friends, music, laughter and fun.
SMART has two entrances, one that faces the mental health hospital, and another that backs on to the wider Chelsea community. You are welcome to visit us through either. http://www.smartlondon.org.uk/
